Château de l’Écluse is located in the heart of the Sancerre wine region, 200 km south of Paris.

After two years of renovation, during which every room was restored, the castle welcomes you year-round for weekends with friends, family gatherings, or vacations. The 24 rooms can comfortably accommodate up to 47 people.

The Château de l’Écluse, an architectural gem nestled in the heart of the Sancerre vineyards, embodies the elegance and timeless charm of history. Rebuilt in the 19th century and renovated between 2021 and 2023, this majestic edifice stands proudly on an enchanting site. As you stroll through the sumptuous 3-hectare park surrounding the Château de l’Écluse, you’ll discover an idyllic setting with 200-year-old trees, among which you’ll find a swimming pool, a sauna, and a Nordic bath.

The 1,600 square meters of Château de l’Écluse offer plenty of space to host your friends or family for vacations or weekend getaways. The four living rooms and other common areas provide the perfect setting for everyone to gather and enjoy each other’s company. The château’s kitchen is fully equipped and large enough to serve 47 people.

The estate features 24 fully renovated rooms with new, high-end bedding and completely restored bathrooms.

Rebuilt in 1800 for his daughter by Napoleon’s Minister of the Interior, the château was home for two centuries to several aristocratic families who cultivated the vineyards surrounding it. In 2016, the Bollinger Group purchased the estate and began producing a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc bearing the château’s name, which they continue to produce today. In late 2021, Jordan Feilders and his business partner, Emmanuel Diemoz, purchased the château—which had been awaiting a renaissance—to restore it to its former glory and infuse it with a new elegance.
