Corporate retreat château: a residential estate less than two hours from Paris

A corporate retreat château answers a question hotels no longer ask: where can twenty or thirty people meet for two days, with no other group in the corridor, and the meeting rooms, the table and the accommodation in the same place? Our twenty-two estates are hired exclusively for residential seminars. Château de Rubelles is forty minutes from Paris, Amore an hour by TGV, Montfleury in the Auvergne seats 170 in plenary, Pralong 220. From 13 to 50 beds on site, adaptable drawing rooms, grounds for the informal moments — and a single contact, the owner, who opens the family-run manor to your team.

An unusual seminar venue near Paris, without the journey

The first criterion of a country retreat is travel time. Less than two hours from Paris, our estates offer the change of scene without the lost day: Rubelles deep in the forest at forty minutes, Le Bois de la Lune at one hour, Feuguerolles de Hellenvilliers at 1 h 20, Villers-en-Ouche at 1 h 45, the Touraine châteaux an hour by TGV then twenty minutes by car. Lyon teams have Montplaisant and the Dombes; Toulouse teams have Longpré, Riveneuve and Coulom under an hour away. An unusual seminar venue near Paris is also what remains afterwards: a 15th-century fortress, 38 hectares of grounds, dinner in a château dining room rather than a restaurant function room.

Equipped meeting rooms, adaptable drawing rooms

Every estate has at least one reception room that becomes a meeting room: a U-shaped table for twenty, a plenary for fifty to two hundred depending on the château, small drawing rooms for breakout groups. Wi-Fi covers the working rooms; the screen or projector, flip chart and sound system are provided or set up on request, and each listing states what is on site. For a team-building château, the grounds do the rest: games in the park, a rally through the forest, tastings in the cellars of the wine estates, pool and tennis at the end of the day. Catering comes from a caterer or a private chef, in the château kitchen, on a menu you agree with them.

What is included, and at what price

The exclusive hire includes the whole château — bedrooms, drawing rooms, kitchen, grounds — plus linen, beds made, utilities and end-of-stay cleaning. Catering, extra equipment and activities are quoted separately. Most of our estates prepare a bespoke price for a corporate event; as an order of magnitude, two nights in a château of 20 to 30 beds comes to €3,000 to €8,000 out of season, catering extra — a cost per participant below that of a conference hotel of the same standing. Requests are handled within days, by an adviser who knows every venue.

A professional events château in ten regions

Seminars with accommodation are spread across France: the Paris region and Normandy for teams from the capital, the Auvergne and the Allier for large plenaries, the South-West around Toulouse, the West between Angers and Nantes, the Touraine an hour by TGV, the Var coast for a January seminar in the sun. A corporate retreat château is booked a season ahead for May, June, September and October; in winter, the heated estates are available at gentler rates.
