A long avenue of white mulberry trees leads you through the vineyards to the Château des Trois-Bastides. 86 hectares of woodland, olive groves and vineyards offer landscapes that are dear to Cézanne, and have attracted artists from all over the world. To name but a few, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie own a neighbouring estate. On arrival, the Grande Bastide is hidden beneath its century-old plane trees. A few metres to the right is the Bastide des Muriers, and a few steps further on is the Bastide des Chênes Verts et Blancs. Together, they form a delightful hamlet dotted with terraces shaded by day and lit up by night, like a Provencal village square, where you can enjoy a glass of chilled rosé with friends while others play pétanque. Each bastide has its own private heated swimming pool and garden. Bicycles are available for exploring the surrounding countryside. The winery is just a few metres away, so you can easily visit the cellar and taste the wine.

Principal living and reception rooms
Intimacy and conviviality combine harmoniously: each bastide has its own living room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen, as well as its own garden furniture and private swimming pool. There are also communal areas for events and receptions : a 100 m2 reception room has been set up in the ‘Bergerie’. Furnished with tables and chairs, it can accommodate 60 people for a seated meal with dance floor, and up to 100 people for a standing cocktail party. There is an adjoining kitchen. In the basement of La Grande Bastide, a space has been set aside for seminars or business meetings. Called “La cave aux tonneaux”, this room is equipped with a screen and video projector. Renting the Château des Trois-Bastides means you’ll be the sole master of the place during your stay, organising your family reunion, wedding, birthday party, cousin party… as you wish, and accommodating most of your guests on site.

The three 18th and 19th century bastides have been lovingly renovated with elegant simplicity: exposed beams, Provençal floor tiles, a harmony of southern colours and antique furniture. La Grande Bastide sleeps 12 to 13 people, with a further 8 in an adjoining dormitory. The Bastide des Muriers sleeps 6 to 7 people, and the Bastide des Chênes 16 to 20. This makes a total of 34 to 48 people in 17 double rooms and 17 bathrooms (+ dormitory of 8 people). Each room has its own private bathroom with WC. Renting the Château des Trois-Bastides means living in a village in Provence that will be inhabited only by your friends and family. You’ll have wonderful memories that will last a lifetime!

The property is always rented in its entirety to a single family.
You have the use of the three bastides (for up to 48 people), with their three swimming pools.
There is only the boutique (only opened during the day) inside the domain that is public and where a few people can come to buy wine.
The rental price includes heating, water, electricity, garden maintenance and cleaning at the end of your stay.
Bed linen and towels are provided. Beds are made up on arrival.
Tables and chairs for the reception are provided.
For receptions and stay, a quote is available on request.

History
Originally, Château des Trois-Bastides was part of the large Roman villa known as Villa Triana. At that time, the estate was already involved in wine production. Vine growing continued throughout the Middle Ages and right up to the present day. In 1780, the Grande-Bastide was built to house a silkworm farm, where silkworms were reared to make silk thread that was exported all over the world. Today, the current owners have developed a sustainable winegrowing business with an emphasis on respect for nature. The wines are now certified organic.

At Château des Trois-Bastides, you’ll enjoy the peace and quiet of the Provencal countryside and the superb sites of the Sainte Baume Regional Park, with easy access to the Mediterranean coast in just half an hour. On site, you can easily take a cellar tour of the farm and enjoy a tasting session in the château shop. Close to the château: the superb sites of the Grand and Petit Lac de Laoucien in Roquebrussanne, and the Vallon des Carmes in Barjols with its footbridges overlooking the water. The Grand Baou waterfall is a corner of paradise. 30 km from the château, you can relax on the white sandy beaches of Hyères, hike the coastal path of the Presqu’île de Giens, visit the amazing Villa Noailles, or take a boat trip to the islands of Porquerolles, Port-Cros and Le Levant. A little further afield: Toulon, with its pretty coves, the delightful villages of Cotignac and Le Castellet, and the Paul Ricard motor racing circuit. Aix-en-Provence is also less than an hour away: go for it! Just over an hour away: Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Nice and Marseille. There’s no shortage of ideas for outings!
