From Dijon to Beaune, the Route des Grands Crus unrolls its UNESCO-listed climats — Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée, Pommard, Meursault. Further south, the Hospices de Beaune and their glazed-tile roofs; further west, the hill of Vézelay and its basilica, on the edge of the Morvan. Burgundy is visited slowly, between two cellars and an abbey.
Our châteaux, estates and manor houses are rented whole, for your exclusive use: the owners welcome you and leave you the entire place. You share neither the drawing rooms, nor the grounds, nor the breakfast table with other guests — that is the difference from a château-hotel, and it is why people come back.
Three houses make up our Burgundy selection: a 10th-century fortress at the heart of an estate, a gentleman’s residence facing Vézelay, and an 18th-century château in eighteen hectares of parkland. From 23 to 30 beds, from 30 to 150 guests.

Planning your stay in Burgundy
When to come
The harvest, from mid-September to early October, is the liveliest time. Spring has the vines in tender green and the gardens open. In November, the Hospices de Beaune wine auction fills the town for a weekend.
Getting there
TGV Paris–Dijon in 1 h 35, Paris–Montbard in 1 h for Vézelay. By road, the A6 from Paris or Lyon. A car remains essential on site: the châteaux are in the countryside, that is the point.

What we’re asked before booking
Is the château rented exclusively?
Yes. You rent the whole château — bedrooms, drawing rooms, grounds — with no other booking at the same time. That is what sets us apart from a château-hotel.
Is the owner present?
The owners live on site or close by, welcome you on arrival and remain reachable. They do not share the premises during your stay.
What is the minimum stay?
Two nights at the weekend; a week in high season at some châteaux. Tell us your dates and we will confirm.
