Château des Trois-Bastides

The Château des Trois-Bastides is surrounded by vineyards within the Sainte Baume Regional Park in Provence, 30 minutes from Toulon, 45 minutes from Aix-en-Provence, 1 hour and 15 minutes from Marseille and Cannes, and 1 hour and 30 minutes from Nice. The three bastides are very close to one another, forming a hamlet that is entirely private for your use. The houses have been renovated to comfortably accommodate 48 people and host 60 to 100 guests for your events. With its heated pools, pétanque courts, and shaded terraces, the estate is the perfect place to bring a large family together on vacation, organize weekend getaways with friends, or celebrate a wedding. Embodying the timeless charm of Provence, the Château des Trois-Bastides is available for rent, both in winter and summer, by the week or by the weekend.

A long avenue of white mulberry trees leads you through the vineyards to the Château des Trois-Bastides. 86 hectares of woods, olive groves, and vineyards offer you the landscapes so dear to Cézanne—and which have attracted artists from around the world. To name just a few, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie own a neighboring estate. Upon your arrival, the Grande Bastide is nestled beneath its plane trees and centuries-old oaks. A few meters to the right stands the 19th-century Bastide des Muriers, and a few steps further back, you’ll find the Bastide des Chênes Verts et Blancs, which dates back to the 18th century! Together, they form a charming hamlet dotted with terraces that are shaded by day and lit up at night, like a square in a Provençal village, where you’ll want to enjoy a glass of chilled rosé with friends while others play pétanque. Each bastide has its own private heated pool and garden. Bicycles are available for you to explore the surrounding countryside. The winery is just a few meters away, so you can easily visit the cellar and discover the wine through a tasting.

Privacy and a warm, welcoming atmosphere blend harmoniously: each country house has its own living room, dining room, and fully equipped kitchen, as well as its own patio furniture and private pool.

Common areas foster a friendly atmosphere: a 100-square-meter reception hall has been set up in the “Bergerie.” It is furnished with tables and chairs and can accommodate 60 people for a seated meal with a dance floor, and up to 100 people for a standing cocktail reception. An attached kitchen is available.

In the basement of the Grande Bastide, a space has been set up for seminars or business meetings. Known as “La cave aux tonneaux,” this room is equipped with a screen and a video projector.

When you rent the Château des Trois-Bastides, you’ll have the place all to yourselves during your stay, allowing you to organize your family reunion, wedding, birthday party, or family gathering exactly as you’d like—and accommodate most of your guests right on the property.

The 18th-century Bastide des Chênes and the two other 19th-century bastides have been professionally renovated with elegant simplicity: exposed beams, Provençal terracotta tiles, harmonious southern color schemes, and antique furniture. The Grande Bastide can accommodate 12 to 13 people, with an additional 8 in an adjoining dormitory. The Bastide des Muriers accommodates 6 to 7 people, and the Bastide des Chênes, 16 to 20 people. That makes a total of 34 to 48 guests in 17 double rooms and one dormitory, with 17 bathrooms. Each room has its own private bathroom with a toilet. Renting the Château des Trois-Bastides means living in a Provençal village that will be inhabited only by your friends or family. What wonderful memories will be etched in your mind forever!

Les Trois-Bastides can accommodate up to 40 guests. You have the option to book additional accommodations for 8 guests for your stay or weekend getaway to accommodate your entire guest list.

Originally, the Château des Trois-Bastides was part of the large Roman villa known as Villa Triana. At that time, the estate had already begun producing wine. Vineyard cultivation continued through the Middle Ages and up to the present day.

In 1780, the Grande-Bastide was built to house a silkworm farm, where silkworms were raised to produce silk thread that was exported all over the world.

Today, the current owners have expanded the winery’s operations while prioritizing respect for nature. The wines are now certified organic.

At the Château des Trois-Bastides, you can enjoy the tranquility of the Provençal countryside and the stunning sights of the Sainte Baume Regional Park, all while having easy access to the Mediterranean coast—just a half-hour away. While you’re there, you can easily take a tour of the winery on the farm and enjoy a wine tasting at the château’s gift shop.

Just a short distance from the castle: the stunning sites of the Grand and Petit Lac de Laoucien in Roquebrussanne, and the Vallon des Carmes in Barjols, with footbridges hanging directly over the water. The Grand Baou waterfall is a little piece of paradise.

Just 30 km from the castle, you can relax on the white-sand beaches of Hyères, hike along the coastal trail on the Giens Peninsula, visit the stunning Villa Noailles, or take a boat to the islands of Porquerolles, Port-Cros, and Levant.

A little further away: Toulon, with its pretty coves; the charming villages of Cotignac and Le Castellet; and the Paul Ricard Raceway. Aix-en-Provence is also less than an hour away—head over there!

Just over an hour away: Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Nice, Marseille. There’s no shortage of ideas for day trips!
