It all begins with a tower. In 1530, it rises in the heart of the Touraine region, serving as a hunting lodge, a resting place, and a lookout over the wooded landscape. Over the decades, the estate develops and flourishes around it, eventually becoming what is now Château Amore.
The domain remains in the hands of the de Perceval family for several centuries. During this time, it takes on a strong agricultural and winegrowing identity, located on the edge of the Vouvray appellation. This past is still etched in the stone: over 300 square meters of troglodyte cellars carved into the rock, remnants of old wine presses, and a deep-rooted tradition of craftsmanship.
In the 18th century, and later in 1882 under the guidance of Pierre Launay, the château is extended and transformed, while retaining architectural traces from each era. Its square tower, once a dovecote with a rare double-frame roof structure, stands as a symbol of its enduring heritage.
In 2023, a complete restoration brings the estate back to life, staying true to its original spirit. Château Amore becomes a place of sharing and legacy, blending the timeless charm of a Loire Valley château with a contemporary way of life. Its story continues to unfold through those who choose to celebrate a wedding here, gather with loved ones, or simply savor the beauty of a moment suspended in time.
